"After Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea, during the time of King Herod, Magi from the east came to Jerusalem and asked, "Where is the one who has been born king of the Jews? We saw his star in the east and have come to worship him."
This passage comes from Matthew 2 right after Jesus was born. Jesus is the central picture here and always. But this observation is quite interesting and pretty sweet. The 3 Magi, or 3 wise men that come from the East saw "his star" and have come to worship Him.
They were the wise and intellects from their time, maybe astronomers? I don't know. But they were the very few of the wise during this time. To have seen a change in the atmosphere, or a change in the stars, they saw something in the sky and knew something good was up. That something, was the star. That something was the one who has been born king of Jews. The one who was prophesied in Isaiah 53. I highly doubt that these wise men were Jews. They knew just by the star. They believed. They worshiped. Wow.
All glory to Jesus forever and ever.
